The mighty American bar-and-shield motorcycle marque sees its local network strengthened further last weekend with the reopening of its Harley-Davidson of Penang dealership last weekend.

The dealership recently underwent a major revamp. Besides complying with Harley-Davidson’s current brand identity and outlook, the dealership has been reequipped with full-fledged service bays manned by certified staff. It also received a full swing of new and current Harley-Davidson models and products on display.

Located within Penang’s bustling’s Juru Auto City district, GB Motorcycles Sdn Bhd stands as the new operator of Harley-Davidson of Penang, which is a partnership between Goh Brothers Group (an automotive retail group) and Penang-based premium motorcycles specialist Kheoh Hock Seng.

The revamped centre in the peninsula’s northern corridor now joins the Harley-Davidson local network. Included here is the flagship Harley-Davidson of Petaling Jaya centre and the Harley-Davidson of Melaka dealership.

“We look forward to providing customers and local fans greater access to the iconic Harley-Davidson retail experience, and building up a strong local biking community up north of Peninsular Malaysia”, said Mr Goh Kian Sin, Director of GB Motorcycles and Didi Resources, the latter firm being the sole-distributor and importer of Harley-Davidson in Malaysia.

“We are excited to have GB Motorcycles Sdn Bhd as our partner, and will be working closely with them to inspire more people to experience the Harley-Davidson brand and build the next generation of Harley-Davidson riders,” adds Johan Kleinsteuber, Managing Director of Harley-Davidson Asia Emerging Markets.

In conjunction with the dealership’s reopening, a small ceremony was held where the dealership handed over the first unit of the MY19 Tri Glide Ultra in Malaysia to a Penang-based customer. Said model commands a retail price tag of RM291,200 sans insurance and registration.
