Heads up Moto Guzzi fans, local brand custodian Didi Resources Sdn Bhd just previewed its latest offering, which happens to be the Moto Guzzi V7 III Carbon limited edition special.

This blacked-out special was previewed to press members last weekend at the Moto Guzzi flagship showroom in The Gasket Alley, Petaling Jaya during the Ram Jam Fest 2018.

As its name suggest, this special is based off of the famed Italian marque’s V7 modern classic model. Taking on a darker, meaner stance, this V7 trades off its classic chrome trim and bits for blackened ones made using carbon fibre instead.

Matching that is the special shade of matt black paint it comes dressed in, followed by the rich use of anodised black billet aluminium metalworks, not forgetting a specially designed alcantara seat saddle featuring red stitching finishes.

Aesthetics aside, the V7 III Carbon is mechanically similar to the base V7 III modern classic. In typical Moto Guzzi fashion, it harnesses power from an air-cooled transversely mounted 744cc V-twin and shaft drivetrain.

Said mill healthily delivers 52hp and 60Nm to propel this modern classic’s 189kg kerb weight up to speeds. Other notable features include a stylishly large 21-litre fuel tank, modern 40mm telescopic front forks and adjustable twin rear shocks, not forgetting the Brembo twin-front discs brakes it packs.

Globally, just 1,921 units of the Moto Guzzi V7 III Carbon will be made. Only a handful of which will be made available locally through the Moto Guzzi showroom @ The Gasket Alley, each commanding a base starting price tag of RM74,900 sans options and on-road costs.
