Johor now has a new authorised Honda dealership, making it the 12th one in the state. The Yong Ming Motor Honda 3S centre is located in Pasir Gudang and comprises of a 77,000 sq. ft. building that cost Yong Ming Motor RM18.5 million to build and equip.

This 4-storey building with basement parking houses 9 service bays, 3 general repair bays, and 2 for tyre service that altogether can accommodate up to 30 cars daily. While their cars are getting worked on by trained technicians and mechanics, customers can enjoy the lounge where there is a free flow of food and drinks. There is also a kid’s corner, while muslims can perform their prayers in designated rooms. Yong Ming Motor invested a total of RM18.5 million into this 3S centre.

Yong Ming Motor has plenty of experience working with Honda that totals over 48 years, with this new facility being the company’s second Honda dealership after their first one located in Skudai.

This new facility is a timely addition to the increasing market share that Honda enjoys, specifically for the southern region. Honda Malaysia Sdn. Bhd. (HMSB) says that this specific region recorded over 235,000 service intakes from January to November 2018, which is an increase of 13 per cent compared to the same period last year. Overall, HMSB reports that after-sales intake has risen 52 per cent in the fast five years.

The southern region also contributed to more than 17,000 sold units from the months of January to October 2018, or a 2 per cent increase over the same period in 2017, most of it coming from Johor with 12,000 units. This also makes it the second best performing region for company sales. HMSB announced that the Honda City is the most popular with 24 per cent of total regional sales. The Civic and CR-V are also popular after getting 11 per cent and 9 per cent of respectively during the same period.
