It’s a low-key announcement, but the important thing is that the facelifted Peugeot 308 THP is now available in Malaysia. Official distributor Nasim Sdn. Bhd. has the stylish hatchback on display right now at the Peugeot Motion & Emotion Roadshow in 1 Utama (New Wing) which ends on 28 October 2018.

The updated Peugeot 308 THP now comes with re-profiled front bumper, bonnet and radiator grille that incorporates the Peugeot Lion emblem. The body comes in a choice of five colours, namely Pearl White, Ultimate Red, Artense Grey, Magnetic Blue and Nera Black.

Inside, you still the get everything that the jazzy Peugeot i-Cockpit offers including a small diameter steering, head-up display, and 9.7-inch touchscreen that enhances the advanced connectivity offered through Mirrorlink, Android Auto, and Apple CarPlay. The screen also connects to the reverse camera with 180deg angle with auto zoom.

The body itself is 140kg lighter now in addition to being more compact and with a lower centre of gravity when compared to the car it replaces. Hill-Start Assist and Electronic Stability Programme (ESP) are all standard features.

The engine gets a bit of attention too, which has added 15ps more power to the turbocharged 1.6-litre engine for a total of 167ps at 6,000rpm and 240Nm peak torque at 1,400rpm. Top speed is 211kph with a claimed 800km of range from a single tankful of petrol.
