Moto Guzzi expands with 2 new offerings

By thoriq, 20 September 2018

Authorised local distributors of Moto Guzzi motorcycles DIDI Resources Sdn Bhd have expanded the legendary Italian brand’s local line up this week with the introduction of the new V7 III Rough and Audace Carbon models. Here are the details of each.

2018 Moto Guzzi Audace Carbon

Things kicked off early on this week with a special introduction of the Audace Carbon held in WOW KL. Dubbed as Moto Guzzi’s ‘muscle bike’, it packs a larger 1,380cc iteration of the brand’s signature transverse 90-degree V-twin, outputting 96hp and 121Nm to the rear via a six-speed box and shaft-drive setup.

Aptly, the Audace Carbon also dons a dark persona and stance thanks to its ‘murdered out’ matt black motif. Complementing that are the presence of various carbon fibre exterior components, red-painted cylinder head covers and top-shelf Brembo brake calipers, as well as red-coloured seat stitching and lettering on the wheels.

Being a modern classic, the Audace Carbon also packs a number of current tech to keep it in line with today’s standards. Highlights include a ride-by-wire throttle suite with three ride modes - Sport (Veloce), Turismo (Touring) and Pioggia (Rain) – on top of traction control, ABS and cruise control.

Audaciously cool, orders for the new Moto Guzzi Audace Carbon can be placed now in the brand’s flagship store located in The Gasket Alley, Petaling Jaya where it rightfully commands a base price of RM123,000 sans options and on-road costs.

2018 Moto Guzzi V7 III Rough

Just a few days after the Audace Carbon’s debut, DIDI Resources proceeded with the announcement of the new Moto Guzzi V7 III Rough’s local availability. Part of the marque’s ever-growing and popular V7 III middleweight series, this new Rough variant dons a “urban country style” twist to its modern classic looks.

Like its siblings the Stone, Racer and Special, the Rough packs Moto Guzzi’s signature 90-degree transverse V-twin heart and shaft-drive setup. This 744cc iteration of said mill healthily delivers 52hp and 60Nm, both managed a by a six-speed box as well.

Again, in typical modern classic standards, the V7 III Rough’s kit list sees the presence of things like a two-channel ABS plus switchable two-mode traction control. Setting the Rough apart from its siblings though are its retro scrambler styled wire spoke wheels with knobbly off-road tyres, as well as a unique set of aluminium exterior bits.

Open for orders now through the flagship Moto Guzzi store in The Gasket Alley, PJ, the V7 III Rough commands a base price of RM75,000. However, DIDI Resources will offer a special introductory price of RM69,900 exclusively for early birds, and the offer is valid for a limited time for a limited number of units only.
