Naza Kia Malaysia today announces facelifts in the current line-up of vehicles. Not just for one model too, but a refresh for the Optima, Sorento, Grand Carnival and Rio.
“After receiving overwhelming market response of our four best-selling models, we at Naza Kia Malaysia are proud to introduce the facelift versions of Optima, Sorento, Grand Carnival and enhanced version of the Rio. We are confident with the advanced automotive technologies and upgraded features, our vehicles will provide a more refined driving experience and satisfaction to our customers,” said Dato’ Samson Anand George, group chief executive officer, Automotive Group, Naza Corporation Holdings.
The facelifted Optima GT 2.0L now comes with a more aggressive grille, LED fog lamps, and rear combination LED lamps. Inside, you can see new ambient lighting around the dashboard and doors. The screen is now a 7-inch touchscreen which is great to view image form the Around View Monitor (AVM). The latter gives the driver a 360 deg view of the car’s surrounding using cameras fitted at the front, rear and sides.
Also, the leather seats are now in a two-tone colour of red and black complete with embroidered GT signature logo for the front seats. Colours available: Silky Silver, Platinum Graphite (new), Snow White Pearl, Aurora Black, and Gravity Blue.
Two variants are available, the Sorento EX 2.4L (petrol) and Sorento SX 2.2L turbodiesel. The powertrain is completed with a 6-speed automatic and 8-speed automatic respectively.
The Sorento now comes with tripe-barrel LED headlamps with Dynamic Bending Light System and LED fog lights. The rear combination lamps are also LED, now with a design update. The Sorento EX stands on 18-inch alloys while the Sorento SX is fitted with newly designed 19-inch alloys.
The cabin now features voice-activated Bluetooth, memory seat package, and a wireless smartphone charger. The Sorento is available in Snow White Pearl, Aurora Black, Silky Silver, Platinum Graphite, and Rich Expresso.
For the outside, the new Kia Grand Carnival KX comes with new projector headlamp design as well as LED daytime-running lights and fog lamps. The 18-inch alloys are in Light Metal Silver.
The alloys for the SX on the other hand are in two tone dark grey colour. There’s also new LED projector headlamps with auto-levelling, LED DRLs, ‘Ice Cube’ LED projector foglamps, Blindspot Detection System (BDS), memory for driver’s seat and side mirrors, plus wireless smartphone charger.
Colours available for the New Grand Carnival are Snow White Pearl, Aurora Black Pearl Silky Silver and Panthera Metal.
The biggest change is with the gearbox, which is now a 6-speed automatic (previously it was a 4-speed auto). Other upgrades in the Rio includes Auto Cruise Control with Speed Limiter, Blindspot Detection System (BDS) and Electrochromic Mirror with Auto Dimmer. As far as safety features are concerned, the Rio’s BDS is the first to be introduced in its class. For a smooth drive on the road, the New Rio 6AT runs on 16-inch alloy wheels.
Colours available for the new Rio are Signal Red, Aurora Black Pearl, Smoke Blue, Deep Siena Brown, Clear White and Platinum Graphite.
