Jazeman Jaafar, Weiron Tan, and Nabil Jeffri are now in Japan for the 6 Hours of Fuji race weekend, the fourth race in the 2018 World Endurance Championship (WEC) calendar. The Malaysian trio finished the previous round of racing in Silverstone at second place behind Jackie Chan DC Racing team-mates in car #38, and now lies third overall in the LMP2 class. For that, they have expressed satisfaction in their performance in the first full year in WEC and aim to carry the form to Fuji.

“Looking forward to bring our strong momentum forward. After a strong result from Silverstone, I believe we can have another strong result,” said Jazeman, who was engaged in a close battle for first place with their team-mates at the closing end of the six-hour race in Silverstone.

In the end, Jazeman who drove in the last stint finished less than three seconds behind, with both cars completing 185 laps.

“I am really looking forward to Fuji. Hopefully, we will build up from where we finished in Silverstone. We need to keep focus and be positive for the upcoming weekend in Fuji. Hoping for another podium there,” said Nabil when asked of his expectations for the Fuji race.

Like his team-mates, Weiron is highly motivated to excel in Fuji; aiming to make full use of his knowledge competing on the track and the weather in Japan to take the team to further glory in the world’s prestigious championship.

"The upcoming round in Fuji, Japan will be very exciting! The last two years had a heavy down pour of rain, let's hope for some sunshine this year. I've raced in Fuji back in 2016 Asian Le Mans so I'm familiar with the circuit, and coming from a strong podium finish at Silverstone, I can say we are more motivated than ever to work hard and aim to finish on the top step of the podium this time!" Weiron said.
