Hi-Rev Racing has revealed its satellite teams for the 2018 racing season, namely the Hi-Rev SCK Racing Team, Hi-Rev Jobaru PIAWW Racing Team, and the Hi-Rev Dream Chaser Racing Team. Several of the racing machines were there during the launch, all of which now bears striking new colour schemes.
Hi-Rev is one of the big names to sponsor the local motorsport teams, although these past few years their efforts have mainly focussed on two-wheel racing. Now, they are back in the thick of four-wheel racing. Present during the event was Valerie Poon, general manager of Posim Petroleum Marketing, together with the respective team principals – Soong Chee Kiong (SCK), Md Sees (Jobaru PIAWW), and CY Ong (Dream Chaser). Also there were the two racers from Hi-Rev’s Young Talent Programme, Adam Khalid and Daniel Bogers, for the four-wheel and two-wheel racing programs respectively.
For the four-wheels, Hi-Rev will be competing with two cars, namely a Proton Saga in the MSF Racing Series (Saga Cup), and a Proton Neo in the Malaysian Championship Series 2018.
It will be much busier for two-wheel racing with a grand total of 13 motorcycles competing in Asia Road Racing Championship, Malaysian Cub Prix, Malaysian Superbike Championship, MSF Superbikes, and King of 2T.
Posim Petroleum Marketing which is the distributor of Hi-Rev lubricants also took the opportunity to introduce the latest product in the TorQe range – the Pro Fully Synthetic Premium Motor Oil. We are told that it is the flagship product in the company’s range and designed for the extra demands required by high-performance engines. The oil is a unique blend of PAO base oil with Ester Pus technology for optimal performance in engine lubrication and protection against thermal stress. The new TorQe oil will first be available in August in 5W40 grade at a price of RM480 per 4-litre tin pack.
