Aventador replica

Move aside West Coast Customs, and don’t even try to put a word in Xhibit because you guys are about to be schooled. The Lamborghini Aventador we see here looks a bit funny doesn’t it? That’s because it first started out as a Honda. A Honda Accord to be precise. First, pick up your jaw from the floor and let’s proceed.

This was the work of Mumbai-based Executive Modcar Trendz (didn’t expect that, did you?). The 2007 Accord V6 obviously was given a huge makeover, every panel customised to make it mimic the Italian supercar right up to the scissor doors (check out 2:46 though). Granted, the proportions are way off with the Aventador obviously being much lower and wider; but gotta give the workshop boys some props. They did good with the headlights and rear lights, plus the side vents and ‘engine cover’ were replicated well. Exhaust is weird though, so you can’t win em’ all.

Executive Modcar Trendz even went nuts with the cabin with mixed results. In the one hand, the raised centre console is sensible, more so with the signature engine start button lid. In the other, the materials and quality of work is comedic.

Also check out video uploader’s (Imzy All In One) other clips, including the Ferrari F430 which started life as a Honda City (that’s what it says in the description, although the dashboard suggests it’s another Honda Accord).

The total cost of the modification is revealed to be 25 lakhs, and if we got our calculations right is roughly RM147,000.

*Can anyone tell us where the Honda Aventador’s gear lever is?
