Check out the wing on this modified McLaren 720S

The world is hardly short of modified McLarens, but a new American firm reckons there’s room for at least one more carbon-fibre clad 720S.

Say hello to SWAE – a tuning firm based in the brilliantly-named Flathead Valley, Montana – and its widebody take on Woking’s senior supercar. Not shy, is it?

We’ve got to start with that wing. Not only is it ginormous, but the supports are actually made of 3D printed titanium, so it’s actually pretty cool too. Not so sure on the rest of the bodykit, though. There’s much exposed carbon and many, many different slashes and strakes. Oh, and SWAE says this thing should cost just under $500,000 (RM2.8 million). Yikes.

You do get a bit more than some carbon fibre for your money though. It doesn’t explain how, but SWAE has extracted 900bhp from the 4.0-litre V8 and combines that with a stainless steel, cat-delete exhaust system.

There are also custom 10-spoke wheels, and SWAE says we can expect ‘several other adventure-oriented vehicles’ in the near future, so this thing won’t be its only product offering.

What do we think, Internet?
