Brembo unveils G Sessanta concept caliper for bikes with LEDs

By sep, 06 May 2021

Brembo will be celebrating its 60th anniversary by looking far into the future of mobility and of course, its core business of stopping it (literally) by introducing the new Brembo G Sessanta concept caliper. In other words, it's a fancy Brembo motorcycle brake caliper with lights and other features that can be controlled using a smartphone app.

It might sound ridiculous at first, but the features available on the G Sessanta are meant to offer greater adaptability and wider applications with just one unit. In the future, this light-up caliper can be set according to your mood or feelings with its range of colours, as well as courtesy light functions, caliper condition, and more.

Heck, you can even use it to lock your bike while you're away and it even comes with GPS to locate your beloved two-wheelers via the smartphone app. To put it simply, the future of motorcycling will have the ability for the brakes to communicate with the riders, making it more than just a tool to stop and slow down.

As of now, it's still very much a concept, but what they're proposing might just be a game-changer for the motorcycling world. It looks like they've definitely come a long way from its very first caliper produced way back in 1972. To the future of mobility! (and stopping in a safe and controlled manner)
