AXA Insurance launched the country’s first telematics motor insurance in 2017 and after a year of implementation, reports that customers are enjoying 14 per cent discount on average as reward to a safe driving record.

The company’s AXA FlexiDrive was introduced following the liberalisation of motor insurance in Malaysia last year. The package is designed with the intention to help drivers be aware of their driving behaviour and take deliberate effort to improve their driving habits. Another positive result of this is safer roads for other road users.

Emmanuel Nivet, Chief Executive Officer of AAGI said, “According to the transport ministry, Malaysia has one of the highest accident and fatality rates in the region.
