Auto Bavaria delivered a BMW i3s to its first Malaysian buyer in Penang recently after just a month of the car making its local debut. Lim Chau Wei took ownership of his premium pure electric vehicle from Auto Bavaria Penang with the handover ceremony taking place at Hotel G Kelawai. At the same time, Auto Bavaria Penang also launched the latest charging facility on the island.

Wong Loke Win, the dealer principal of Auto Bavaria Penang said, “Today marks another milestone for us at Auto Bavaria as the sole distributor of BMW i in Malaysia. We are extremely excited to deliver our first BMW i3s to Mr. Lim Chau Wei. Mr. Lim and his family members are loyal supporter of the BMW brand but more than this, they have a futurist mind set in choosing to be early adopters of the mobility of the future.”

As an owner, Lim Chau Wei will be glad to know that on top of Auto Bavaria Penang – similar with other Auto Bavaria dealerships – being well capable of providing aftersales service to BMW i pure electric vehicles, the addition of charging facilities will only provide added convenience. There are two charging stations at the Hotel G Kelawai Penang that takes up 256 sq. ft., which adds to the other two locations opened earlier in the Northern region located at Hotel St. Giles and Queensbay Mall.

Auto Bavaria is the largest authorised dealership group representing the BMW brand in Malaysia and plans to add four new charging stations by the end of the year for the convenience of BMW i pure EVs and BMW i performance plug-in hybrids.
