Another Pininfarina-designed concept is coming

If you remember the Fisker Karma hybrid that was released back in 2011, you’ll most likely recall the messy divorce that saw the company file for voluntary bankruptcy in November 2013.

When its assets were sold at auction the highest bidder was Chinese company Wanxiang, and having severed ties with designer Henrik Fisker they re-branded the company, inventively naming it Karma Automotive.

Just a couple of years later and the Fisker Karma was being produced once again, although it was now known as the Karma Revero and was built in California rather than Finland.

Anyway, it seems as though the new the company is now well and truly standing on its own two feet. In fact, they’re set for an all-out assault on the Shanghai motor show in April, with two concept cars and a next-generation Revero.

This may not sound like huge news, but we now know that one of those concepts will be designed by the wizards at Pininfarina. Yep, the company that has penned so many gorgeous Ferraris, Lancias and Alfa Romeos throughout the years.

The concept has been teased in the image above and looks like being some form of sleek coupe with a long bonnet and angry front grille – all styling cues we approve of here at TG.

Will it be able to make as big a splash as Pininfarina’s own Battista though? A 1,900bhp hypercar certainly takes some beating.
