TC Euro Cars (TCEC) has officially launched the new 2021 Renault Megane R.S. 300 Trophy here in Malaysia where interested parties can either purchase or subscribe. Upgraded with enhanced performance and sportier facade, this 'facelifted' version was designed with two main criteria in mind - power and performance.

Everything about this car screams R.S. with design cues that enthusiasts can instantly recognise like the R.S. Vision high-performance lighting, rear bumper with a built-in diffuser and central exhaust, narrower rear spoiler, Brembo brakes, plus other Exclusive R.S. traits that can be in and out of the Megane R.S. 300 Trophy.

Embedded with the brand's extensive racing experience and history, the new Renault Megane R.S. 300 Trophy follows the footsteps of its predecessors, which happens to be a world record holder for the fastest front-wheel-drive car in Nürburgring back in 2019. With that being said, this baby is fitted with a new 1.8-litre inline-four turbocharged engine that churns out 300PS and 420Nm of maximum torque. This translates to a 0-100kph time of only 5.7 seconds.

All that power is sent down to the wheels (enhanced with 4CONTROL four-wheel steering system) through a six-speed Efficient Dual Clutch (EDC) gearbox that can be controlled and manipulated via the wheel-mounted gearshift paddles as well as selectable driving modes. If you opt for the 'Sport' or 'Race' modes, you'll get access to some tasty features like Multi-Change Down for faster downshifts and launch control for obvious reasons.

• 19-inch Jerez wheels with diamond-cut finish & red borders

For those who are interested to get one of your very own, TCEC has priced the new Renault Megane R.S. 300 Trophy at RM326,476.61 (on-the-road without insurance until 30 June 2021). You can also opt for one of its subscription plans which starts from RM5,200 a month. If the 'Flame Red' is not your taste, you can also opt for Diamond Black, Pearl White, Liquid Yellow (extra RM9,000), or Orange Tonic (also extra RM9,000).
