Street cred

Introduced as the world’s first Japanese diving watch back in 1965, it’s safe to say that the Seiko Prospex’s status as an icon is sealed. Of course, like many modern day icons of art and style, it’s never wrong for it to be ‘re-imagined’.

For that, Seiko opted to collaborate with famed Japanese street fashion department store called Baycrew's Group in creating the Prospex Street Series trio. This series echoes the design of one of Seiko’s iconinc Prospex – the world’s first diver’s watch with a titanium case – and merge it with modern street style.

Available in three special colours, the Prospex Street Series employs a reinforced case, lightweight yet robust, making it perfectly matched for daily or town uses. Underneath lies Seiko’s own proprietary V157 solar movement, which requires light to recharge fully to offer a 10-month power reserve.

Besides that, the dial has a camouflage pattern whilst a leather pattern process is applied to a high-strength silicone accordion strap. Equipped with anti-collision and 200 metres of scuba diving waterproof functions, the Prospex Street Series will not feel out of place anywhere, be it in town or the great outdoors even.

Lastly, the Seiko Prospex Street Series can be had in a choice of three colours starting with olive, followed by a playful navy and gray hues too.
