Capable of smashing 0-100kph in 3.2sec and reaching a v-max of ‘over 322kph, the Lamborghini Huracan isn’t exactly slow. And those subtle-yet-striking looks don’t exactly shout shrinking violet either. But for some people, that’s just not enough. People like Jon Olsson.

That name might ring a bell. Jon is a professional skier and Gumball 3000 veteran renowned for his choice of cars. In the past he’s modded and slapped a roof box on to a GT-R, Audi R8, Lamborghini Gallardo, Murcielago SV, Le Mans-style prototype race car and, his pièce de résistance, a DTM-inspired Audi estate with enough power to reverse tectonic movement.

What you see above is the beginnings of his latest and most ambitious project to date: a truly bespoke Lamborghini Huracan.

After driving the car for just 478km, Jon’s already started work on stripping it down in order to build it back from the ground up.

He’s enlisted the help of Swedish tuner Stertman (the same tuner who fitted two 18-karat gold anodised turbo chargers to Jon’s RS6, raising the horsepower to a nice round number of 1000bhp) for something a little more ambitious.

Instead of shaping parts directly onto the car, he’s attached little Jelly Tots to the Lambo in order to 3D scan it. That way he can fabricate bespoke and perfect-fitting carbon panels to the chassis. Considering he’s been spending time with the Huracan’s racing sibling – the Huracan Super Trofeo – and has form with running circuit-inspired cars on the road, we wouldn’t be surprised if his new project had some racing roots.

“This is the first car I’ve made in 3D,” Jon said. “I am pretty sure that this will give me the means to take my car building to the next level. My goal with this one is to to be able to drive a mad machine every single day.”

We hear you, Jon. And don’t worry folks; we’ll be keeping you updated with how the build progresses. We can’t wait to see the results.
