So as it stands Malaysians really like the Toyota Corolla which is currently leading its segment in the market share. And Toyota, always happy to respond to the market needs, has introduced the new 1.8G variant to the people.

Small changes to the exterior appear in the form of door handles with chrome finish, and an auto on/off mode for the halogen headlamps.

The interior gets a whole lot of upgraded items, like the combination leather upholstery and Optitron meters for the instrument panel. Toyota has also added illumination lights to the centre console cup holders and front foot well along with the Smart Entry & Start System. The in-car entertainment unit is now upgraded to a double DIN DVD player with six speakers and a seven-inch touchscreen.

The 1.8E base variant will also receive some minor upgrades, like the Smart Entry & Start System, illumination lights, exterior door handle chrome finish, and auto on/off mode for the headlamps.

Pricing for the 1.8G is RM119,900 (OTR with insurance) while the 1.8E now fetches for RM115,900 (OTR with insurance)
