New Kia to debut 15 January in Detroit, inspired by Stinger fastback sport sedan
What you see here is a rendering of the upcoming Kia Forte compact sedan which will make its global debut at North American International Auto Show (NAIAS). One thing is instantly recognizable – the tiger nose grille, and that’s no surprise.
What does is how Kia mentions that the previous sporty and youthful image has graduated to a more sophisticated appearance. Apparently it’s now more dynamic and sleek with inspiration taken from the Stinger. The previous cab-forward design is also more swept-back.
Creases in the hood, an aggressive lower valance and dynamic headlamp layout promises to lend an edgy exterior. A thin horizontal strip – like seen on the Sportage – connects the two tail lights.
Clean lines with minimal button use best describes the new dashboard, all presented with a horizontal theme to enhance the openness. Also inspired by the Stinger are the its circular air-cond vents.
Watch out for this car’s global debut at NAIAS on January 15.
