The Kia Grand Carnival is now locally-assembled

Price does not go down, but calm down. Naza Kia gives you more features instead

Grand Carnival CKD

The grand-sized Kia Grand Carnival MPV is now locally assembled, a move that didn’t take long after selling CBU units following its Malaysian launch last year. There is no reduction in price which is what usually follows CKD assembly; however, the vehicle now comes with additional features.

In comes an infotainment system with 8-inch touchscreen, almost double of the imported car’s 4.3-inch. This system may also integrate with your phone via the CarPlay or Android Auto feature. There’s also Bluetooth connectivity which is done seamlessly at the steering wheel.

Another upgrade comes in the form of Electro Chromic rear view mirror which automatically dims the headlight reflection off its mirror from a tailing vehicle.

Just as before, the Kia Grand Carnival comes in two variants, EX and KX, the latter which comes with Aeroblade wipers and Tri-Zone air-cond.

Power still comes from a 2.2-litre turbodiesel that generates 190hp and 440Nm, all of which goes to a six-speed auto.

The Kia Grand Carnival KX is priced at RM161,191.63, and the EX variant is RM180,667.99 (without insurance).
