Honda Civic Type R launched in Indonesia

You’ve seen it lap the Nurburgring in record time, and read about it here, even find out what we think about it here, but alas, there is no solid indication from Honda Malaysia that the Honda Civic FK8 R is going to be launched in Malaysia. If ever.

However, it is certainly available in Indonesia, after it was officially launched at the GAIKINDO Indonesia International Auto Show (GIIAS).

Following the launch of the Civic Sedan last year and the Civic Hatchback this year, the Civic Type R will expand the Civic lineup to meet various lifestyles and the needs of Indonesian customers and emphasize Honda’s DNA in sportiness.”

Powered by a 2.0-liter VTEC turbo engine, the Civic Type R delivers maximum power of 310ps at 6,500rpm and maximal torque of 400Nm at 2,500 to 4,500rpm. True to its sporty character, the Civic Type R is equipped with a responsive 6-speed manual transmission that is supported with three driving modes, which are Comfort, Sport, and +R.

The Civic Type R is available in four colors: Rallye Red, Brilliant Sporty Blue Metallic, Championship White, and Sonic Gray Pearl, for IDR 995,000,000 (RM320,000). Crystal Black Pearl and Polished Metal Metallic colors will be available in 2018.
