Goodyear partners JKJR to educate motorists about road hazards

Goodyear Malaysia and the Road Safety Department of Malaysia (JKJR) have teamed up to organise a road safety workshop for Malaysia drivers. The objective is to educate road users on the various potential risks during driving and how to best handle them while ensuring safety for all.

As a body under the purview of the Ministry of Transport, JKJR is a strong voice in advocating road safety, thus the perfect fit for Goodyear to work with. In this workshop, participants are given tips on how to handle challenges when facing road hazards, as well as how to keep tyres in its optimum performance. Naturally, tyre maintenance is another issue that is shared during the workshop.

Based on the Road Safety Plan of Malaysia 2014-2020, road and tyre defects are one of the contributors to road accidents in 2013.

In view of this, Goodyear still has the Worry Free Assurance program where the company will replace tyres which are irreparably compromised due to road hazards. This assurance is valid within the first six months after the tyre has been purchased and applicable only for certain tyre models, namely Eagle F1 Asymmetric 3, Eagle F1 Asymmetric 2, Eagle F1 Directional 5, Eagle EfficientGrip, Assurance TripleMax, and Optilife.

Also covered by this program are the EfficientGrip SUV, EfficientGrip Performance SUV, Wrangler TripleMax, and Goodyear runflat tyres. Once the conditions for tyre replacement has been met – such as presenting the Goodyear Worry Free Assurance card (or online warranty registration) together with original receipt of purchase – you’ll get your new tyre/tyres.

Convenience is important here, and currently there are 98 Goodyear Servitekar outlets in Malaysia. Also, Goodyear tyres can also be bought with an easy-payment scheme in cooperation with Maybank.
