The Goodwood Festival of Speed is a festival held at Goodwood celebrating speed. Simple as, really.

This year marks the 25th such celebration of going really quite quickly, and there have already been some rather astonishing moments so far: the BAC Mono scorching up the hill less than three seconds short of Heidfeld’s outright record, the first ever fully autonomous run up the hill (Roborace’s amazing Robocar), plus public debuts of the wild P1 GT Longtail by Lanzante and of course, the all-new Toyota Supra prototype.

There’s a load more speed, still. Brabham’s new BT-52, the wild Apollo Intensa Emozione, Aston Martin Vulcan (and that V8 Cygnet!), W Motors’ Fenyr, the new McLaren 600LT and Senna, Italdesign’s convertible, and a classic 911.

Have a gander through these pics, and stay tuned for more from the weekend…
